Explaining my passion behind writing the story for all ages, Opening Our Eyes to the World. The creativity behind my writing and illustrations are inspired by my button shoes and adventures I have had around the world. The book is meant to foster conversation, spark questions, and recall memories of adventures/trips in one’s own life.
About the Author
Traveling to over 30+ countries, Sarah started writing children’s books and designing puzzles to inspire those of all ages. In her books you’ll find elements of her own travels and lessons learned along the way. Her wish is that you also find a bit of your own adventures throughout the story and continue to inspire the children in your life. Adventures, whether near or far, are what make us feel like we are truly living and making a difference by sharing our smiles with the world.
She was a Rotary Youth Exchange student to Thailand during her senior year of high school and has been exploring the world ever since. Her bachelor’s degree is from Scotland and her master’s degree is from England. Last summer, she completed the Critical Language (U.S. Dept. of State) Scholarship program in Lucknow, India studying Urdu. Sarah is now an active Rotarian and enjoys organizing and participating in service projects around the world.
She was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and now resides in Wisconsin. She has a passion for everything international and has studied, traveled, and worked in numerous countries around the world. A humanitarian individual who loves to inspire others to enjoy all of the beauty our world has to offer.
She even has her own pair of adventure shoes from Thailand!
